David Amoros Alcaraz, CTO: with a degree in Computing from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (1996) has over 15 years of experience in the management, definition and development of expert systems and data provision especially in the health sector. From 2006-2012, he co-directed the company MicroArt, where he developed Business Intelligence systems for the clinical sector. His main function was the management of technological innovation projects.

  • 2004 – 2006: Research Project Interpret (IST-1999-10310), doing project management and analyst tasks.
    • Creation of maintenance processes and an enlargement of the “Interpret” database, about brain tumors.
    • Technologies: J2EE, Oracle, Mysql.
  • 2006 – 2009: Research Project E-Tumour (LSHC-CT-2004-503094) and HealthAgents (2004-27214) doing project management and analyst tasks.
    • Design and implementation of a worldwide database for the storage of brain tumor data: MRS, MRI, HRMAS, DNA MicroArrays.
    • Evaluation of the information quality and processing availability.
    • Selection of learning and classification algorithms.
    • Web programming about introduction processes and consultation of data. Technology used: J2EE and Oracle.
    • Creation and definition of a communication infrastructure, based in intelligent agents for the collaborative diagnosis.
  • 2006 – 2011: Research Project DSSProstata (TSI-020302-2009-65) doing project management tasks.
    • Creation of a support tool, based in the spectrum analysis from magnetic resonance for the prostate tumor detection and quantification.
    • Project manager, performing coordination tasks between the different associates, doing the definition of the project and presenting it to different organisms.
    • Technologies: SPSS and Clementine
  • 2006 – 2008: Innovation and Development Project Hospisegur (FIT-350301-2007-15) doing management tasks.
    • Creation of a system for identify and locate patients in a hospital environment.
    • Definition of a protocol for guaranteeing a correct medicine administration.
    • Management of the computer development team.
    • Technologies: J2EE, Flex.
  • 2009 – 2012: Technological Innovation Project MADEP (IST-2004-27214) doing management tasks.
    • Definition of a monitored system for patients with major depression.
    • Technological definition of the system.
    • Creation of a data capture process and provisioning of the DWH.
    • Definition and implementation of the communication process via RFID technology.
    • Technology: J2EE.
